Scholarship Awards
The Montgomery County (MD) Alumnae Chapter Scholarship Program was created to provide financial assistance to students who reside in Montgomery County, MD, and contribute their skills and talents towards the improvement of the community. The Scholarship Program currently has the following types of scholarships, which are described below.
County-wide
Our signature program, the County-Wide Scholarship, was established to provide financial awards for high school students who have excelled in their academics.
Requirements:
- Resident of Montgomery County, Maryland
- High School Senior of a Montgomery County, Maryland school, graduating the academic year in which the scholarship is being announced
- Apply to a two or four year university or college as a full-time student
- Scholastic Average of a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
MCAC Educational Program
The Montgomery County (Maryland) Alumnae Chapter (MCAC) Educational Program Scholarship was established to provide financial awards to high school students who have participated in the MCAC Educational Program for a minimum of two consecutive years.
Requirements:
- Resident of Montgomery County, Maryland
- High School Senior of a Montgomery County, Maryland school, graduating the academic year in which the scholarship is being announced
- Apply to a two or four year university or college as a full-time student
- Scholastic Average of a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Additional Requirement: Educational program participant for a minimum of two consecutive years with MCAC
Career/Vocational/Technical
This scholarship was established to provide financial awards to students who want to advance their skill set by participating in a career, a vocational or a technical program focused on specific skills needed for certain occupations.
Requirements:
- Resident of Montgomery County, Maryland
- High School Diploma or a General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Apply to an accredited career/vocational/technical school as a full-time student
- Latest transcript of academic record with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Application Procedures
To be considered for a scholarship, a completed application must be uploaded using the following Jotform link: Submission Form. All documents must be uploaded and submitted with the application by February 28, 2025 at 11:59pm. Applications and/or supplemental documents received after February 28th will not be considered.
A completed application package must include the following:
- Scholarship Application Form
- Letters of Recommendation
- Community Service
- An official high school transcript or an official General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Two separate, 300-500 word essays
- A wallet-size color photograph picture
